A Very Brighton Wedding

About a year into my bridal consultant journey I was approached by the incredible Isla of Loading Events who was planning an amazing photoshoot and was looking for the perfect mini dress to complete the vision. As we didn’t have anything in stock that fit the vibe I offered to whip something up quickly and armed with a mood board I created my first design.

The photoshoot was primarily located on the i360, on the Brighton seafront, something I hadn’t experienced before. We used one of the consultation rooms to prep and I met the rest of the team, including our gorgeous model, also named Tessa.

The view of the city from the top of the i360 was really cool to see, and the energy inside the glass dome was as vibrant as the colour theme. Gorgeous shades of pink and red on a background of white add a richness and fun, youthful essence to the photoshoot. The models had an amazing enthusiasm which was simply contagious.

After descending back down to the ground we decided to take to the streets for the real city wedding experience. The cardboard sign with “married as f*ck” was the perfect touch to the photoshoot and you could really see Isla’s vision was coming to life. Shouts of congratulations and toots of horns surrounded us as Brighton residents and tourists mistook the models for a newly wed couple which only added to the insane amounts of fun we were having. The whole team took a trip down Brighton’s streets looking for opportunities; a doorway, a graffitied wall, an adorable pub.

It was my first taste into being behind the scenes of a photoshoot and I was hooked. I met some amazing industry professionals and got to see them all in their element, doing what they do best. Waiting for the edited photos to come through seemed like the longest wait of my life, but boy, were they worth it. I think the end results perfectly capture the essence of a Brighton wedding, the youthful, fun-loving vibes of a modern newly wed couple.
